Choosing PhiAcademy pigments starts with the procedure, the client’s natural colouring and the formula you intend to work with. A light blonde brow, a deep brunette brow and a muted rose lip each need a different colour plan. Reading the shade name alone does not explain the pigment’s undertone, colourant composition or professional application.
The BVShop collection brings together PhiBrows SUPE and SUPER 5ml pigments for microblading and machine eyebrow PMU, a five-shade SUPER collection, and PhiAcademy Aqua 10ml pigments for machine PMU. This guide covers every product in that selection, grouped by range and treatment area, with the declared ingredients alongside the intended colour role.
Can PhiBrows microblading pigments also be used for PMU?
Yes. The PhiBrows SUPE and SUPER products covered here are listed for both professional microblading and machine permanent makeup of the eyebrows. Calling them microblading pigments describes an important use; it does not exclude their documented machine brow PMU application. The practitioner must still follow the current instructions for the individual product and use a technique for which they are trained.
This does not mean that every PhiBrows colour is intended for every PMU treatment area. A PhiBrows Red eyebrow palette component is not automatically a lip pigment, and a PhiBrows Black shade is not automatically an eyeliner pigment. Aqua includes products with specifically documented lip, brow, eyeliner, areola or scalp uses; those applications are identified individually below.
Microblading and machine PMU: understanding the brow techniques
PhiBrows SUPE and SUPER are professional eyebrow pigment lines for both manual microblading and machine permanent makeup. The distinction between techniques concerns the tool and the pattern of colour application. The distinction between shades concerns depth, undertone and the relationship with the client’s natural colouring. These decisions should be discussed together, rather than choosing a bottle first and assuming it determines the treatment.
Manual microblading: individual hair-like strokes
Microblading uses a manual tool with a blade to create a planned pattern of fine, hair-like strokes. The colour is selected to relate to the natural brow hairs and the intended brow design. In the SUPE and SUPER selections, prepared brow shades such as Brown 1, Brown 2, Brown 3, Golden Brown and Fox have distinct colour roles; basic Red, Yellow and Black components have a specialist palette role where the current directions allow their use.
Machine hairstrokes: a stroke pattern made with a PMU machine
Machine hairstroke work uses a PMU machine and an appropriate cartridge to create a hair-like design. It is a different application method from manual microblading even though both can aim for a hairstroke appearance. SUPE and SUPER are also intended for machine eyebrow PMU; the trained practitioner matches the formula, equipment and technique to the planned service. A hair-like finish is created through the artist’s application and design, not guaranteed by the pigment name.
Powder brows, ombré brows and combination designs
Powder brows describe a shaded brow appearance created with a machine. An ombré design uses a graded distribution of colour, while a combination design brings hairstrokes and shading into the same overall brow plan. These are technique and finish terms, rather than separate undertone categories. A medium brown remains a medium-brown colour choice whether the artist is considering strokes or a shaded design, but the visible effect also depends on how colour is distributed.
The product sections below explain the specific colour role in microblading or machine PMU. For a particular powder, ombré, hairstroke or combination protocol, use the formula and equipment permitted by the current product instructions and your professional training. The fact that a range is suitable for machine eyebrow PMU does not establish universal compatibility with every cartridge, dilution or treatment area.
Lip blush, eyeliner and specialist machine pigmentation
The Aqua range supplies water-based machine-PMU pigments with treatment areas identified by shade. Lip blush and more defined lip-colour designs begin with an assessment of the natural lips and the intended colour; corrective neutralisation is a separate colour-planning task. Eyeliner, scalp and areola pigmentation likewise require their own training and a pigment specifically documented for that area. Eyebrow use should not be extended to those services simply because a colour appears suitable.
How to understand undertone and pigment composition
Undertone describes the underlying colour direction: for example, golden, copper-red, rose or orange-red. It is separate from depth. A pigment can be dark and still contain warm components, while two light pinks can differ because one contains an orange component and another a magenta-red component.
Throughout this guide, expected undertones are colour assessments drawn from the declared colourants and the available product colour information. They are not a manufacturer-issued numerical warm/cool rating and do not predict a guaranteed healed result. Exact colourant proportions are not published in the ingredient lists. Skin, starting lip colour, existing pigment, implantation and aftercare also affect the visible outcome.
Colourant composition explains which materials provide colour. Organic colourants, inorganic colourants such as iron oxide or titanium dioxide, and carbon black can appear in different combinations. In this context, organic is a chemistry term, not an organic-farming certification. A hybrid description refers to a combination of colourant types; it does not mean that every shade has the same formulation.
The CI identifiers make comparisons more precise. In the declarations below, CI 77491 is red iron oxide; CI 77891 is white titanium dioxide; CI 77266 is carbon black; CI 200310 and CI 11785 identify the listed organic yellows; CI 56110 and CI 12475 identify organic reds; CI 561170 is the listed organic orange; and CI 73915 contributes the magenta-red direction.
The carrier is another part of the formula. Aqua products list a water-based vehicle with Glycerin and Propylene Glycol. SUPE and SUPER products list glycerin-rich carrier systems with additional supporting ingredients. The SUPER declarations include Shellac Cera, which is absent from the SUPE declarations shown here. Colour chemistry, carrier consistency and the manufacturer’s coating technology should therefore be considered separately.
The full declarations below reproduce the ingredient lists currently supplied in the product information. The label for the actual batch remains the reference if a formulation or declaration changes.
PhiBrows SUPE pigments for microblading and machine eyebrow PMU
The SUPE selection consists of three prepared brown shades and two basic colour components, each supplied in a 5ml tube. These products serve professional microblading and machine eyebrow PMU. Brown 1, Brown 2 and Brown 3 form a progression in depth; Red and Black address different professional colour-adjustment roles where the current product directions allow them.
PhiBrows SUPE Brown 1 PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPE Brown 1 gives the artist a light-brown starting point for clients with naturally blonde or light-brown hair. Its role is to create brow definition that sits comfortably within a lighter overall colouring, particularly when a medium brunette pigment would introduce more depth than the design requires.
The colour system combines warm red, yellow and orange components with carbon black. This explains the warm direction of the palette without establishing how warm the healed brows will look. Position Brown 1 as the lighter option in the SUPE Brown 1–3 sequence, assessing skin and any previous pigment alongside hair colour.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPE Brown 1 is an eyebrow pigment for both manual microblading and machine permanent makeup (PMU). For manual microblading, its light-brown colour is selected to create individual hair-like strokes within a blonde or light-brunette brow design. For machine eyebrow PMU, the same shade is considered within a colour plan for defined hairstrokes or a shaded brow appearance. The application method determines the pattern and distribution of colour; Brown 1 supplies the lighter brown colour direction rather than prescribing one finished brow style.
Choosing the shade for the client
During consultation, distinguish a client who needs a little more visible brow structure from one who wants a deeper makeup effect. Naturally light-brown hair does not automatically require a medium brown pigment, particularly when the natural brow hairs and the rest of the face are softly coloured. Brown 1 is worth comparing with Brown 2 when depth is the main question. Assess its warm component separately from depth: choosing a lighter colour is not the same as choosing a cooler colour.
Formula and professional palette role
The 5ml SUPE tube belongs to a glycerin-rich system with Propylene Glycol and supporting ingredients. Its role is a prepared light-brown option for a professional who performs microblading, machine eyebrow PMU or both. The declared colourant system helps explain the warm-brown character, but choosing between SUPE Brown 1 and SUPER Brown 1 also requires reviewing their different carrier declarations rather than assuming the matching names make the products identical.
Expected undertone: warm light-brown direction.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 56110 (organic red), CI 561170 (organic orange), CI 77266 (carbon black).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 77491, Propylene Glycol, CI 200310, Aqua, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, CI 56110, Ethanol, CI 561170, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, CI 77266.
PhiBrows SUPE Brown 2 PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPE Brown 2 is the medium brunette option for naturally brown hair. It fills the space between the lighter Brown 1 and the darker Brown 3, making it a useful reference shade when planning balanced brow definition for a brunette client.
Yellow and orange colourants sit alongside red iron oxide and carbon black in its declared composition. The warm components contribute to the brown blend while black contributes depth. Choose it for the required level of definition rather than assuming every brunette needs the deepest available brown; both microblading and machine brow PMU require an individual colour assessment.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPE Brown 2 is a professional medium-brown eyebrow pigment for manual microblading and machine PMU. In a microblading design, it supplies the brunette colour used for individual strokes that are planned around the natural brow direction. In machine eyebrow work, it can be selected as the colour within an artist’s plan for hairstroke definition or a shaded brow design. The difference between those techniques is how the colour is placed, not a change in Brown 2’s intended brunette colour role.
Choosing the shade for the client
This shade is particularly useful to compare when Brown 1 appears too light for the client’s natural brow hair but Brown 3 would introduce more depth than the brief requires. A balanced brow design depends on the relationship between the existing hairs, the uncovered skin and the rest of the face. Dark head hair alone should not replace that assessment. If old permanent makeup is present, assess its colour and saturation before deciding that a standard brunette shade is an appropriate new colour.
Formula and professional palette role
SUPE Brown 2 combines organic yellow and orange with red iron oxide and carbon black in a glycerin-rich carrier. That is a colourant blend with warm components, not simply a single brown substance. The 5ml format provides a dedicated medium-brunette choice in a professional microblading and PMU pigment palette. Compare the full SUPE and SUPER declarations when choosing a formula family; retain Brown 2’s medium-depth role as the starting point for the shade decision.
Expected undertone: brown with a warm yellow-red component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 561170 (organic orange), CI 77266 (carbon black).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 200310, Propylene Glycol, Aqua, CI 77491, CI 561170, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, CI 77266, Ethanol, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate.
PhiBrows SUPE Brown 3 PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPE Brown 3 is a deep-brown pigment intended for naturally dark-brown to almost-black hair. It gives the professional a darker prepared brow shade when Brown 2 does not provide the colour depth required by the client’s natural colouring and planned brow design.
Its dark appearance is balanced by yellow, orange and red components in the declared colourant system. This is useful context when comparing a deep brown with a black palette colour: a darker brow does not automatically call for a standalone black pigment. The final selection must also account for skin, existing pigment and the intended visual weight of the brows.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPE Brown 3 is a deep-brown eyebrow pigment for manual microblading and machine permanent makeup. In microblading it provides the colour for hair-like strokes in a darker natural brow design. In machine PMU it is considered where a darker hairstroke or shaded brow colour is required. It is a prepared brown shade, so the choice is more specific than reaching for a black palette component whenever a client has very dark hair.
Choosing the shade for the client
A client with naturally dark-brown hair may still have softer or more sparsely distributed brow hair. Assess those hairs and the intended overall brow weight before choosing the deepest brown. Brown 3 deserves comparison with Brown 2 when the issue is depth, while Black has a different basic-palette role. The ingredient declaration cannot establish how much more saturated one application will look: the distribution of strokes or shading and the client’s starting skin colour remain part of the design.
Formula and professional palette role
The warm-colour components in Brown 3’s hybrid system coexist with carbon black, which contributes depth. Its glycerin-rich SUPE carrier and 5ml tube make it a separate formula choice from the SUPER counterpart. Position this pigment as the darker prepared-brown option for professional brow work across manual and machine techniques, with its undertone assessed in relation to the client rather than described as an automatically cool or universally neutral dark brown.
Expected undertone: deep brown with a balanced-to-warm component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 200310, Aqua, CI 77491, CI 77266, CI 561170, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate.
PhiBrows SUPE Red PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPE Red is a red palette component for professional colour adjustment, subject to the current product directions. It has a different purpose from the prepared Brown 1, Brown 2 and Brown 3 shades: it is used to consider the red contribution to a colour plan, rather than serving as a conventional finished brown brow colour.
Red iron oxide is combined with organic red, yellow and orange colourants, producing an expected warm red-orange direction. Its red name does not make it a lip pigment; its documented context here is the PhiBrows eyebrow system. Any corrective application or combination must be permitted by the supplied product’s current instructions.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPE Red is a professional colour-adjustment component for the eyebrow palette used in microblading and machine brow PMU. Its purpose is different from implanting a prepared brown as the finished brow colour. In either manual or machine work, a red component belongs only in a defined professional colour plan and within the combinations allowed by the current product instructions. Red does not become a lip pigment because its bottle colour resembles a lip shade.
Choosing the shade for the client
Colour correction begins by identifying the actual unwanted hue and the amount of pigment already present. A faded brow that appears cool, an overly dark brow and a brow with a red cast are different situations; they do not call for one universal red-colour solution. SUPE Red is relevant when the artist’s assessment identifies a need for a red contribution. The warm orange and yellow components listed with the reds also matter when comparing it with a hypothetical pure-red colourant.
Formula and professional palette role
Keep the distinction between colour theory and product compatibility clear. Red can be discussed as a basic palette colour without recommending a mixing recipe for every SUPE or SUPER tube. Its hybrid colourant blend and glycerin-rich carrier should be reviewed together with the current labelling. Position it as a specialist brow-colour component for an artist trained in correction, not as a shortcut that replaces diagnosis of the existing permanent makeup.
Expected undertone: warm red-orange direction.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 56110 (organic red), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 77491, Propylene Glycol, CI 200310, Aqua, CI 56110, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, CI 561170, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate.
PhiBrows SUPE Black PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPE Black provides a deep black component within the PhiBrows palette for professional dark-colour adjustment where the product instructions permit it. It should be selected for a defined colour task, with careful consideration of whether the client needs a black component or a prepared deep brown.
The declared formula contains several red, yellow and orange colourants as well as carbon black. It is therefore more informative to read the complete composition than to regard Black as a bottle of a single black colourant. Its warm components do not guarantee that it will heal neutral on every skin, and its eyebrow positioning does not automatically extend to eyeliner use.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPE Black is an eyebrow palette component for professional microblading and machine eyebrow PMU where the current directions permit the intended dark-colour adjustment. A basic black component is not the same product role as a prepared dark-brown shade. For manual strokes or machine brow work, first determine whether the colour plan needs an adjustment in depth or whether Brown 3 already offers a more suitable finished brown direction.
Choosing the shade for the client
The declared red, yellow and orange components show that this is a formulated black blend, not carbon black alone. That matters when reading the colour system, but it does not justify describing Black as automatically warm-healing or suitable for every dark-haired client. In sparse brows, too much visual depth can also change the relationship between individual hairs and the areas of uncovered skin. Evaluate the complete brow design instead of treating the deepest palette colour as a default.
Formula and professional palette role
SUPE Black is supplied in a 5ml tube with the SUPE glycerin-rich carrier. It should be positioned as a specialist component within an eyebrow pigment selection, with any permitted blending or adjustment governed by the actual product directions. Eyeliner is a separate treatment area: the fact that Aqua Black Sea has a documented eyeliner application does not transfer that application to PhiBrows SUPE Black.
Expected undertone: black with a balanced warm-colour component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 56110 (organic red), CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 56110, Aqua, CI 200310, CI 77491, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, CI 77266, CI 561170, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate.
PhiBrows SUPER pigments for microblading and machine eyebrow PMU
The SUPER selection includes eight individual 5ml colours. Alongside the Brown 1–3 progression, Golden Brown extends the choice towards very light hair and Fox towards naturally red-pigmented hair. Red, Yellow and Black are basic palette components, with a different role from a prepared finished brow shade.
The manufacturer describes bioinert coating technology and a characteristic “Honey Effect” as features of SUPER. Its texture is associated with retaining pigment where it is needed during microblading. The current product listings also identify machine eyebrow PMU use. These features do not remove the need to match the formula to the treatment, equipment and current instructions, and should not be read as a promise of allergy-free use or identical retention for every client.
PhiBrows SUPER Golden Brown PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPER Golden Brown is the light golden-brown option for very light natural hair. It expands a brow palette towards clients whose colouring needs a particularly light, golden direction, rather than simply offering another medium brown.
Organic yellow and orange colourants contribute the golden warmth, while carbon black adds depth. The declared colourant list contains no red iron oxide. Consider it alongside Brown 1 during consultation: Golden Brown has a more specific very-light-hair role, whereas Brown 1 covers naturally blonde and light-brown hair more broadly.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPER Golden Brown is a light golden-brown eyebrow pigment for professional manual microblading and machine PMU. In microblading it supplies a lighter colour direction for individual strokes on a very light-haired client. In machine eyebrow PMU, it is selected when the colour brief requires light golden definition rather than a medium-brunette shade. The same light-colour objective can sit within different brow designs; the technique and desired level of shading are chosen separately.
Choosing the shade for the client
This is especially useful to consider when a client’s natural brow hair is much lighter than a standard brunette reference. Compare Golden Brown with Brown 1 rather than assuming that the palest-looking colour is always preferable. Golden Brown’s specific golden direction may be relevant to the colour relationship between the brows and very light natural hair, while Brown 1 has a broader blonde-to-light-brown role. The skin assessment determines whether that warmth belongs in the design.
Formula and professional palette role
Its declared colourant system consists of organic yellow, organic orange and carbon black, without red iron oxide in the published list. SUPER’s carrier includes Shellac Cera, alongside glycerin and the other declared ingredients. The manufacturer’s Honey Effect description concerns application characteristics; it does not make Golden Brown interchangeable with water-based Aqua Golden Tides. Position it as the very-light-hair option in the SUPER microblading and PMU brow palette.
Expected undertone: warm golden-brown direction.
Colourant composition: Organic yellow and orange colourants with carbon black. Declared CI components: CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 561170 (organic orange), CI 77266 (carbon black).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 200310, Propylene Glycol, Aqua, CI 561170, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, CI 77266, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shellac Cera.
PhiBrows SUPER Brown 1 PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPER Brown 1 is a light-brown choice for naturally blonde or light-brown hair, suitable for professional microblading and machine PMU of the eyebrows. It is a useful option when the brief calls for visible brow structure without immediately moving into the depth of a medium brunette shade.
Red iron oxide, organic red, yellow and orange colourants, and carbon black form its colour system. The expected direction is warm light brown, but the ingredient list does not disclose the proportions that create that balance. Within the SUPER palette, compare it with Golden Brown for very light colouring and Brown 2 when more brunette depth is needed.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPER Brown 1 is a professional light-brown eyebrow pigment for both manual microblading and machine permanent makeup. For microblading it provides the colour used in individual strokes for naturally blonde or light-brown brows. For machine eyebrow PMU it offers a lighter prepared-brown option within a hairstroke or shaded brow colour plan. Its purpose is to support the intended brow colour; the artist’s chosen method determines whether the visual finish is formed by strokes, shading or a combination of the two.
Choosing the shade for the client
Compare it with Golden Brown when the client has particularly light natural hair and a golden colour relationship is being considered. Compare it with Brown 2 when the brief needs more brunette depth. These are separate questions: Golden Brown changes the colour direction and very-light-hair positioning, while moving to Brown 2 changes the depth reference. That distinction helps a consultation move beyond a vague request for natural-looking brows.
Formula and professional palette role
The SUPER formula combines its hybrid colourant system with a glycerin-rich carrier that lists Shellac Cera. Brown 1 contains both red iron oxide and organic red, alongside yellow, orange and carbon black, which explains why its composition should be assessed as a blend. It is the prepared lighter-brown member of a SUPER eyebrow palette for artists offering manual microblading, machine brow PMU or both, with current directions governing preparation and any adjustments.
Expected undertone: warm light-brown direction.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 56110 (organic red), CI 561170 (organic orange), CI 77266 (carbon black).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 77491, Propylene Glycol, CI 200310, Aqua, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, CI 56110, Ethanol, CI 561170, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shellac Cera, CI 77266.
PhiBrows SUPER Brown 2 PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPER Brown 2 is the medium-brown member of the SUPER brow sequence, intended for naturally brunette hair. It offers a prepared colour option for artists who want a consistent point of comparison between the lighter Brown 1 and deeper Brown 3.
Yellow and orange components provide warmth alongside red iron oxide, while carbon black gives the blend depth. Its positioning is about matching the client’s colour plan rather than using one brown for every client. Although the SUPE version has the same shade name and a similar declared colourant set, the SUPER carrier declaration includes Shellac Cera, so the two products should be evaluated as separate formulas.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPER Brown 2 is a medium-brunette eyebrow pigment intended for manual microblading and machine PMU of the brows. In microblading, its brown colour is used within an individual hairstroke pattern. In machine brow PMU, it is considered when the design calls for brunette colour in hairstroke work, shading or a combination design. The pigment does not itself create a powder or ombré finish: those terms describe how a trained artist distributes and grades the colour.
Choosing the shade for the client
Brown 2 is a useful consultation reference because the alternatives on either side have clearly different depth roles. Brown 1 offers a lighter colour plan, while Brown 3 serves naturally darker colouring. Compare these against the natural brow hairs and intended degree of makeup definition, rather than assuming that all brown head hair requires the same brow intensity. Previous pigment, if present, can change both the colour direction and the available space for a new design.
Formula and professional palette role
The declared organic yellow and orange components, red iron oxide and carbon black form a hybrid brown system. SUPER’s published carrier also includes Shellac Cera, separating it from the SUPE Brown 2 declaration. This makes Brown 2 a medium-depth colour choice within a specific formula family, not a universal formula that can be swapped between ranges by name alone. It belongs in a professional palette as the core SUPER brunette comparison shade.
Expected undertone: brown with a warm yellow-red component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 561170 (organic orange), CI 77266 (carbon black).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 200310, Propylene Glycol, Aqua, CI 77491, CI 561170, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, CI 77266, Ethanol, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shellac Cera.
PhiBrows SUPER Brown 3 PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPER Brown 3 is intended for dark-brown to almost-black natural hair. It belongs at the deeper end of the prepared brown palette, giving a professional a focused alternative when the lighter brow shades would not match the desired depth.
The declared colourant blend includes warm yellow, orange and red components as well as carbon black. These components help explain why the product is described as a deep brown rather than a simple single-colourant black. Assess the client’s natural brow hair, skin and existing pigmentation before choosing it for either manual hairstrokes or machine eyebrow PMU.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPER Brown 3 is a deep-brown eyebrow pigment for professional microblading and machine permanent makeup. A manual microblading artist selects it for a dark-brown hairstroke colour plan; a machine PMU artist considers it where the brow design requires deeper brown hairstrokes or shading. It is intended for naturally dark-brown to almost-black hair, but the client’s actual brow hairs and skin still determine how much visual weight the brows should carry.
Choosing the shade for the client
The important comparison is often Brown 3 versus Brown 2, rather than brown versus black. If a medium brown already relates well to the client’s natural brows, moving darker may not serve the design. Where more depth is justified, Brown 3 provides a prepared deep-brown option with warm colour components in its blend. A separate Black component has a different palette function and should not be treated as the automatic next step in every dark-haired consultation.
Formula and professional palette role
SUPER Brown 3 combines organic yellow and orange with red iron oxide and carbon black in the declared colour system. Its carrier includes Shellac Cera and glycerin, and the manufacturer identifies coating technology as a SUPER feature. Those formulation details help distinguish the range; they do not determine a guaranteed retention level or healed temperature. Position this pigment as the deep prepared-brown SUPER option for trained artists working manually or with a PMU machine.
Expected undertone: deep brown with a balanced-to-warm component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 200310, Aqua, CI 77491, CI 77266, CI 561170, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shellac Cera.
PhiBrows SUPER Fox PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPER Fox is the copper-toned brown for naturally red-pigmented hair. Its purpose is particularly clear during consultation with a red-haired client: it offers a colour direction that can relate to copper and red hair tones rather than treating the client as a standard brunette.
Organic yellow and red iron oxide contribute a warm copper-red character, while carbon black adds depth. Fox is a dedicated prepared shade within the SUPER brow palette, distinct from Red as a basic colour component. It is useful when the design calls for a warm red-brown relationship between brows and natural hair, with the skin assessment remaining central to the choice.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPER Fox is a warm copper-brown eyebrow pigment for manual microblading and machine eyebrow PMU, positioned for naturally red-pigmented hair. In microblading it supplies the colour for a planned pattern of hair-like strokes; in machine PMU it can be considered within a warm brow colour plan for hairstrokes or shaded definition. The key choice is its copper-red direction, not a requirement to perform one particular brow finish.
Choosing the shade for the client
A red-haired client may have copper, auburn or softer red influences in the natural hair and brows. Assess that relationship directly: Fox is not simply Brown 2 with a different marketing name. Its organic yellow, red iron oxide and carbon black components give it a different declared structure from SUPER Red, which is a basic colour-adjustment component. Compare the desired finished brow direction before deciding whether a prepared copper-brown or any specialist adjustment is needed.
Formula and professional palette role
The glycerin-rich SUPER formula includes Shellac Cera and belongs to the manufacturer’s coated pigment range. That distinction matters when comparing Fox with Aqua Burgundy Waterfall, another shade associated with red-pigmented hair but supplied in a water-based machine-PMU system. Position Fox as the dedicated prepared copper-brown shade within the SUPER eyebrow palette, keeping both the client’s colour assessment and the permitted technique central to its use.
Expected undertone: warm copper-red direction.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 77266 (carbon black).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 200310, Propylene Glycol, CI 77491, Aqua, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, CI 77266, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shellac Cera.
PhiBrows SUPER Red PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPER Red is a basic red colour component for professional palette adjustment where the current label permits it. Its role differs from Fox: Fox is a prepared copper-brown shade for red-pigmented natural hair, while Red addresses the red contribution within a professional colour plan.
The combination of red iron oxide with organic red, yellow and orange colourants gives an expected warm red-orange direction. It is not a substitute for a dedicated lip pigment just because it is red. Keep its application within the documented eyebrow uses and follow the current instructions for any correction or blending.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPER Red is a specialist colour component for an eyebrow palette used in professional microblading and machine brow PMU. Its application is a defined colour-adjustment task, rather than the routine selection of a finished brown for a whole brow design. Whether the planned brow work is manual or machine-based, the need for red must come from the artist’s analysis of the starting colour and the current product directions.
Choosing the shade for the client
Distinguish a prepared colour for naturally red-haired clients from a component used to adjust a palette. SUPER Fox already offers a copper-brown direction for red-pigmented hair; SUPER Red contains red iron oxide and organic red together with yellow and orange components. That is why the two products should not be substituted by name association alone. A correction must address the actual hue and saturation already present, not just the broad label cool brows.
Formula and professional palette role
The SUPER carrier declaration includes Shellac Cera and differs from the SUPE Red declaration. The manufacturer’s general explanation of primary-colour mixing is useful colour-theory context, but it does not establish permission to combine every range or ignore a restriction on a particular tube. Position SUPER Red as a professional brow-colour adjustment component for trained artists, without extending its eyebrow role to lip blush because of its red appearance.
Expected undertone: warm red-orange direction.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 56110 (organic red), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 77491, Propylene Glycol, CI 200310, Aqua, CI 56110, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, CI 561170, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shellac Cera.
PhiBrows SUPER Yellow PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPER Yellow is a basic yellow palette colour for professional colour adjustment. It is not a prepared blonde or brown brow shade, so artists looking for a finished light brow colour should also consider Golden Brown or Brown 1 according to the client’s colouring.
The declared colourants are organic yellow and organic orange, giving an expected warm yellow-orange direction. This makes its composition distinct from the iron-oxide-containing brown shades. Yellow’s contribution to a colour plan must be assessed within the specific product system; the existence of a primary-colour guide does not override restrictions on the supplied tube.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPER Yellow is a basic colour component for professional eyebrow colour work in microblading and machine PMU. It is relevant when an artist’s assessed colour plan requires a yellow contribution and the current directions permit the intended use. It should not be presented as a ready-made blonde brow pigment or implanted as a finished brown simply because the client has light hair.
Choosing the shade for the client
The meaningful comparison is Yellow versus a prepared light shade such as Golden Brown or Brown 1. Those prepared colours have their own depth and colour balance; Yellow addresses one part of a specialist palette. Its published colourants are organic yellow and organic orange, so even the name Yellow should not be read as proof of a pure single-colourant formula. An existing brow with an unwanted hue requires individual assessment before selecting an adjustment component.
Formula and professional palette role
The glycerin-rich SUPER carrier includes Shellac Cera, as in the other individual SUPER products. Keep that formula identity separate from the chemical description of its organic colourants. For a studio offering manual hairstrokes and machine brow PMU, Yellow belongs in the specialist colour-theory and correction part of the palette, while Golden Brown and Brown 1 are the more direct prepared-shade comparisons for a conventional lighter brow colour brief.
Expected undertone: warm yellow-orange direction.
Colourant composition: Organic colourants. Declared CI components: CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, CI 200310, Propylene Glycol, Aqua, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, CI 561170, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shellac Cera.
PhiBrows SUPER Black PMU & Microblading Pigment 5ml

SUPER Black is the deepest basic colour component in the SUPER brow palette. It is intended for professional dark-colour adjustment where allowed by the current directions, and it deserves a separate assessment from Brown 3 when choosing the depth of a brow design.
Carbon black is accompanied by organic red, yellow and orange colourants and red iron oxide. This is a multi-colourant formula, not carbon black alone. A warm balancing component in the declaration does not establish a guaranteed healed undertone, and the product should not be assigned to eyeliner simply because it is named Black.
Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU: how this pigment is used
PhiBrows SUPER Black is a professional eyebrow palette component for microblading and machine permanent makeup where the current directions allow the planned dark-colour adjustment. For both manual and machine work, distinguish the need to alter a palette’s depth from the need for a prepared brown shade. Brown 3 already addresses a deep-brown brow brief, so Black is not simply a stronger universal version of that product.
Choosing the shade for the client
The formula’s carbon black appears alongside red iron oxide and organic red, yellow and orange colourants. Those additional colour components are important when reading the blend, but they do not provide a guarantee against a cool-looking healed result. Assess the natural brow hair, the client’s skin and the visual density of the planned strokes or shading. A black component should have a deliberate colour role, particularly when existing permanent makeup already contributes substantial depth.
Formula and professional palette role
SUPER’s carrier declaration includes Shellac Cera as part of a formula family distinct from SUPE and Aqua. Position SUPER Black as a specialist basic colour in an eyebrow pigment palette for trained artists. If the planned procedure is eyeliner or scalp pigmentation, consult the documented treatment areas of the relevant product instead of transferring those uses to this brow component; Aqua Black Sea is discussed separately for that reason.
Expected undertone: black with a balanced warm-colour component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 56110 (organic red), CI 200310 (organic yellow), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 56110, Aqua, CI 200310, CI 77491, Hamamelis Virginiana Bark/Leaf Extract, Ethanol, CI 77266, CI 561170, PVP, PEG-8, Isopropyl Palmitate, Shellac Cera.
PhiBrows SUPER PMU & Microblading Pigment Collection 5x5ml

The SUPER collection contains five separate 5ml tubes: Brown 1, Brown 2, Brown 3, Golden Brown and Fox, giving 25ml in total. It is a prepared brow-shade selection for microblading and machine eyebrow PMU, bringing together light, medium and deep browns with specific very-light-hair and red-hair options.
For a professional building a consultation palette, the practical value is being able to compare these different colour directions before selecting a product for the client. Golden Brown and Fox broaden the range beyond a simple light-to-dark brown sequence. Red, Yellow and Black are not included in this five-shade set.
Microblading and machine PMU: the role of the five-shade set
The PhiBrows SUPER 5 × 5ml collection is intended for professional manual microblading and machine eyebrow PMU. It supplies five prepared brow colours rather than five interchangeable versions of one brown. A studio offering both manual hairstrokes and machine brow services can use the set as a structured colour-selection palette: Brown 1, Brown 2 and Brown 3 establish depth references, while Golden Brown and Fox address different natural-hair colour relationships.
Choosing a shade and planning the brow technique
During consultation, first decide which of those colour relationships fits the natural brows and the intended design. The same client may discuss a hairstroke effect, powder-style shading, an ombré gradient or a combination design, but that technique choice should not replace the shade assessment. Conversely, having five colours available does not mean all five should be mixed or that every client requires a custom blend. Each tube remains subject to its own current label.
Formula, packaging and professional palette use
SUPER’s glycerin-rich formula and manufacturer-described coating technology distinguish the range from Aqua’s water-based machine system. The packaging brings the five individually labelled 5ml tubes together, making the contents identifiable when preparing a palette and recording the product used. Review the individual ingredient lists above: the set includes different colourant systems and is not one uniform composition. Its professional role is a prepared-shade brow selection, with Red, Yellow and Black remaining separate specialist palette products.
Undertones and composition: each tube retains the individual undertone, CI system and full ingredient declaration described in its separate product section above. The set is not one uniform formula: for example, Fox contains red iron oxide, while Golden Brown lists organic yellow and orange colourants with carbon black. All five SUPER declarations include Shellac Cera. Check each tube separately when recording the ingredients used in a treatment.
PhiAcademy Aqua: machine PMU pigments for brows and darker colour work
Aqua uses a fluid, water-based formulation designed for machine PMU and movement through appropriate cartridges. The following five products cover light golden browns, medium and deep browns, a red-brown direction and black. Some shades have more than one documented treatment area, so read the application information individually.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Golden Tides Pigment 10ml

Aqua Golden Tides is a golden-brown machine PMU pigment positioned for naturally blonde hair, from platinum to honey-blonde colouring. Within the Aqua brow selection, it gives the artist a lighter starting point than Riverstone Brown and Deep Wave Brown, particularly for a light-haired client seeking defined brows.
Organic yellow CI 11785 and red iron oxide contribute warm colour components, with carbon black adding depth. Its documented brow role includes machine hairstroke work; any additional application should be confirmed in the current shade guide. Choose Golden Tides for its light golden-brown direction rather than treating it as the same formula as PhiBrows SUPER Golden Brown.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Golden Tides is a light golden-brown pigment for machine eyebrow PMU. Its documented brow application includes machine hairstrokes, where the artist plans individual marks to relate to the direction and distribution of natural brow hair. It offers a lighter colour reference for clients with very light to honey-blonde natural hair. This water-based Aqua product should be assessed as a machine-PMU formula in its own right, rather than described as a manual microblading tube.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
The selection question is often whether the client needs more brow visibility or genuinely needs a deeper brown. Golden Tides addresses a light golden colour direction, whereas Riverstone Brown provides a medium brunette reference and Deep Wave Brown a deeper one. The presence of organic yellow and red iron oxide helps explain the warm components, but the undisclosed proportions prevent an exact calculation of healed warmth. Assess those components alongside the natural brow hairs and the skin visible between them.
Formula and professional palette role
Its 10ml bottle contains the Aqua carrier of water, glycerin and Propylene Glycol. The fluid machine-PMU format is separate from the colourant blend itself. For a studio working with a range of brow colourings, Golden Tides adds a specifically lighter option instead of requiring every client to begin with a medium brown. Confirm any treatment beyond the documented brow role in the current shade guide.
Expected undertone: warm golden-brown.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 11785 (organic yellow).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 77266, CI 77491, CI 11785.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Riverstone Brown Pigment 10ml

Aqua Riverstone Brown is a medium brunette brown for machine PMU, designed for naturally brown hair. It sits between the lighter Golden Tides and deeper Deep Wave Brown, offering a practical reference point when a client needs a clearly brown brow result without choosing the darkest shade.
The colour system combines carbon black, red iron oxide and organic red. This supports an expected brown direction with a warm red component. Its product information also identifies areola and scalp applications alongside brow hairstrokes; those specialist uses require their own training, colour assessment and confirmation against the current product directions.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Riverstone Brown is a medium-brown pigment for machine eyebrow PMU, including documented machine hairstroke work. It supplies a brunette colour direction for an artist designing individual machine strokes, with the natural brows and the intended overall definition guiding the colour choice. The machine creates the pattern of implantation; Riverstone Brown provides the particular depth and warm-red contribution within that design.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
Compare it with Golden Tides when the client’s colouring is lighter and with Deep Wave Brown when the natural brow hair and brief justify a deeper colour. Riverstone Brown’s combination of carbon black, red iron oxide and organic red should not be reduced to an assumption that every medium brown has the same undertone. Where old brow pigment is present, evaluate its hue and saturation before deciding whether a new standard brunette colour is appropriate.
Formula and professional palette role
The documented areola and scalp applications belong to separate professional services, not automatic extensions of a brow appointment. Those uses require their own assessment of the intended colour effect and the current product directions. In its 10ml water-based format, Riverstone Brown is best understood as Aqua’s medium brunette reference with specifically listed specialist applications, rather than a universal brown for any skin-pigmentation procedure.
Expected undertone: brown with a warm red component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 12475 (organic red).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 77266, CI 77491, CI 12475.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Deep Wave Brown Pigment 10ml

Aqua Deep Wave Brown is a deep-brown option for naturally dark-brown to almost-black hair. It is suited to a darker machine brow colour plan when Riverstone Brown would provide less depth than the intended design requires.
Its declared colourants are carbon black and red iron oxide. That short list is informative, but the undisclosed proportions remain important: Black Sea and Burgundy Waterfall also list these CI components, without being interchangeable shades. The documented applications include brows, eyeliner and scalp pigmentation, allowing a professional to consider it for the specific trained service rather than deciding by colour name alone.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Deep Wave Brown is a deep-brown machine-PMU pigment with documented brow, eyeliner and scalp applications. For eyebrow work, it is selected when the colour relationship with naturally dark-brown to almost-black hair requires a deeper brown. A dark brow colour plan and an eyeliner colour plan are different: the treatment area and desired visual effect must be established before the same shade is considered for either service.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
In a brow consultation, compare Deep Wave Brown with Riverstone Brown to determine whether the extra depth is justified. In an eyeliner consultation, its brown colour direction is the relevant comparison with a black such as Black Sea. The goal is not to use one dark bottle for every dark design, but to decide whether the planned definition should read as brown or black. Scalp pigmentation adds another separate assessment of the existing hair and intended appearance.
Formula and professional palette role
The published colourant list contains carbon black and red iron oxide in a water-based Aqua carrier. Black Sea and Burgundy Waterfall also list those two CI components, yet their shade roles differ. This illustrates why the presence of the same CI numbers does not reveal formula proportions or make different colours interchangeable. Position Deep Wave Brown as the deep-brown Aqua choice within the treatment areas actually documented for it.
Expected undertone: deep brown with a red-warm component.
Colourant composition: Red iron oxide with carbon black. Declared CI components: CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 77491 (red iron oxide).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 77266, CI 77491.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Burgundy Waterfall Pigment 10ml

Aqua Burgundy Waterfall is a red-influenced brown positioned for naturally red-pigmented hair and machine brow hairstrokes. Its burgundy name can suggest a lip colour, but the documented role in this collection is a red-brown brow direction, with areola pigmentation also identified.
Red iron oxide contributes the warm red component and carbon black adds depth. The ingredient declaration does not disclose their proportions, so the same two CI numbers appearing in another Aqua shade do not establish the same colour. Consider Burgundy Waterfall when the brow design needs a relationship with red or copper natural hair rather than a standard brunette brown.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Burgundy Waterfall is a warm red-brown pigment for machine eyebrow PMU, with brow hairstrokes and areola pigmentation identified in its product information. Its brow role relates to naturally red-pigmented hair. During a machine hairstroke consultation, the colour decision concerns how that red-brown direction will sit with the natural brow hairs and surrounding skin, rather than assuming that a burgundy name describes a lip service.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
Compare Burgundy Waterfall with Riverstone Brown when the main question is the difference between a red-influenced colour relationship and a more conventional brunette reference. Compare it conceptually with SUPER Fox only after separating the formula systems: Fox is a PhiBrows tube for manual microblading and machine eyebrow PMU, while Burgundy Waterfall is a water-based Aqua machine product. Similar client colourings do not mean identical formulations or interchangeable preparation.
Formula and professional palette role
Carbon black gives the declared system depth and red iron oxide provides the red component, but their proportions are not published. Its 10ml Aqua bottle therefore adds a distinct red-brown direction to a machine-PMU palette. The areola application requires its own specialist training and current shade-selection protocol; it should not be treated as the same colour decision as designing brows for a red-haired client.
Expected undertone: warm red-brown.
Colourant composition: Red iron oxide with carbon black. Declared CI components: CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 77491 (red iron oxide).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 77266, CI 77491.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Black Sea Pigment 10ml

Aqua Black Sea is the deep black option for machine PMU, with documented uses for brows, eyeliner and scalp pigmentation. It can be considered for naturally black hair or a defined dark-colour task, but the darkest available bottle should not become the default choice for every dark-haired brow client.
Carbon black is combined with red iron oxide, giving an expected near-neutral black direction with a red-warm component. The presence of red provides useful colour context; it does not guarantee that the healed result will remain neutral on every skin. Compare it with Deep Wave Brown when the design calls for depth but still needs a brown rather than a black visual impression.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Black Sea is a black pigment for machine PMU, with brows, eyeliner and scalp pigmentation listed as treatment areas. In an eyeliner colour plan, the black direction is its defining comparison with a brown such as Deep Wave Brown. In brows or scalp work, the professional must instead assess how that depth relates to natural hair, skin and the intended visual density.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
The red iron oxide listed alongside carbon black gives useful information about the formula’s colour components. It does not establish that Black Sea will heal the same way on every client, nor does it make a black selection appropriate whenever head hair appears dark. For a brow design that needs brown depth rather than black definition, compare Deep Wave Brown before choosing Black Sea. When previous pigment is present, its colour contribution also forms part of the assessment.
Formula and professional palette role
Black Sea is supplied in the 10ml water-based Aqua format for machine work. That differentiates it from PhiBrows SUPER Black and SUPE Black, which are eyebrow palette components in their own formula systems. The practical professional role of Black Sea is a documented machine-PMU black for the specified treatment areas, with the exact application planned through the corresponding trained service.
Expected undertone: near-neutral black with a red-warm component.
Colourant composition: Red iron oxide with carbon black. Declared CI components: CI 77266 (carbon black), CI 77491 (red iron oxide).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 77266, CI 77491.
PhiAcademy Aqua lip pigments: red, pink, coral and nude shades
The Aqua lip selection includes eight different colour directions. Some formulas use organic red or orange colourants without white pigment, while others combine organic colours with titanium dioxide or red iron oxide. That distinction helps explain why a saturated red, a soft rose and an earthy nude belong in different parts of a professional lip palette.
Several products are also identified for colour blending, correction or areola pigmentation. These uses are specific to the individual shade and require the corresponding professional training and current instructions. A listed correction use is not a ready-made neutralisation protocol for every client.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Red Sea Pigment 10ml

Aqua Red Sea is a saturated, deep-red lip pigment for machine PMU. It is the focused choice in this selection when the colour brief calls for a stronger red direction rather than a pale pink, coral or softened nude.
Its colourant system uses two organic reds, CI 56110 and CI 12475, and the published list contains no white titanium dioxide or carbon black. That distinguishes it from the softened pink and nude formulas. A stronger red in the bottle still needs to be evaluated against the client’s natural lip colour, existing pigment and desired healed intensity.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Red Sea is a red lip pigment for machine permanent makeup. It belongs in the professional lip-PMU colour consultation when the desired direction is a richer red rather than a light pink, coral or earthy nude. Lip blush describes a softer enhancement approach, while a more saturated lipstick-style design has a different visual objective; the pigment name alone does not decide which intensity the artist should create.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
The starting lip colour must be part of that discussion. A red that looks clear in a swatch interacts visually with the colour already present in the lips, and an existing cool cast is a separate consideration from a request for more red. Red Sea’s declaration lists two organic reds without white titanium dioxide, distinguishing it from Pink Blush, Hydra Rose and the nude formulas. That difference describes its colour structure rather than promising one specific level of transparency or healed saturation.
Formula and professional palette role
Its water-based Aqua carrier and 10ml bottle are intended for machine-PMU workflow. Compare Red Sea with Flaming Water when deciding whether the colour plan needs a red direction or a more evident orange-red contribution. Position it as the saturated-red reference in the Aqua lip palette, with the final colour brief and technique established through the individual lip consultation.
Expected undertone: red with a balanced-to-warm direction.
Colourant composition: Organic colourants. Declared CI components: CI 56110 (organic red), CI 12475 (organic red).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, CI 56110, CI 12475, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Flaming Water Pigment 10ml

Aqua Flaming Water provides a distinctly warm orange-red direction for machine lip pigmentation. Its documented uses also include custom lip-colour work and corrective lip neutralisation, making it relevant when an appropriately trained professional’s colour plan requires an orange-red contribution.
The declared colourants are organic red CI 56110 and organic orange CI 561170, without a white pigment in the published list. This separates its colour structure from the lighter Coral Water Lily. Correction should be chosen from an individual assessment rather than a rule that every cool-looking lip needs the same orange pigment or the same mixture.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Flaming Water is a warm orange-red pigment for machine lip PMU. Its documented roles include lip pigmentation, permitted individual colour blending and corrective lip neutralisation. That means an artist should distinguish two separate objectives: enhancing the lips towards an orange-red appearance, and using a warm component within a professionally assessed correction plan. The same bottle is not a universal protocol for both objectives.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
For a lip-colour design, compare Flaming Water with Red Sea when deciding how much orange influence belongs in the intended colour direction. For correction, identify the starting hue and existing saturation before selecting a warm contribution. Blue-, violet- or brown-influenced lips are not interchangeable descriptions, and the pigment should not be chosen from a single screen swatch without that assessment. No unverified mixing ratio is needed to explain its role in the palette.
Formula and professional palette role
The declared organic red and organic orange colourants are carried in the water-based Aqua formulation; no white pigment is listed in this declaration. Coral Water Lily includes white in addition to its red and orange components, making it a different softer-colour comparison. Position Flaming Water as the clearly orange-red Aqua lip option, with any blending or neutralisation governed by the current instructions and the artist’s correction training.
Expected undertone: warm orange-red.
Colourant composition: Organic colourants. Declared CI components: CI 56110 (organic red), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, CI 56110, CI 561170, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Pink Blush Pigment 10ml

Aqua Pink Blush is a pink-red lip colour for machine PMU and permitted individual lip-colour blends. It offers a rose-coloured direction for a client whose brief is lighter and softer than a saturated red, while remaining distinct from an earthy nude.
Organic red CI 56110 is combined with white titanium dioxide CI 77891. The white component contributes lightness and opacity, but its presence alone does not prove a cool undertone. Compare Pink Blush with coral-influenced Coral Water Lily and magenta-containing Hydra Rose to understand why three light-looking lip colours can have different colour directions.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Pink Blush is a pink-red pigment for machine lip permanent makeup and permitted individual lip-colour work. It is useful in a lip-blush consultation when the client wants a pink direction rather than a stronger red, a coral influence or a muted earthy nude. The lip-blush technique concerns the way colour is distributed and built visually; Pink Blush supplies the selected colour direction within that professional design.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
The client’s starting lip colour determines how a light pink should be evaluated. A request for softer-looking lips is not automatically a request to implant the palest possible formula, and a pink pigment does not replace a separate correction assessment where one is needed. Compare Pink Blush with Hydra Rose if a magenta-influenced rose direction is being considered, and with Coral Water Lily if the desired appearance moves towards warm coral.
Formula and professional palette role
The colourant declaration combines organic red with white titanium dioxide. White contributes to the formula’s lighter, more opaque colour structure, but its presence alone cannot establish a cool undertone or predict the healed colour. In its 10ml water-based Aqua format, Pink Blush is a specific pink-red option for machine lip PMU rather than a generic label covering every pink lip design.
Expected undertone: pink-red with a warm red component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77891 (titanium dioxide (white)), CI 56110 (organic red).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, CI 77891, CI 56110, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Hydra Rose Pigment 10ml

Aqua Hydra Rose is a soft, light rose-pink option identified for lip-colour blending and corrective lip-neutralisation work. Its place in a professional palette is to offer a softer rose direction and a lightening contribution where allowed by the current product protocol.
White titanium dioxide is combined with organic red and a magenta-red component, CI 73915. This supports the expected cooler rose-pink direction compared with Pink Blush’s simpler red-and-white colour system. A cool rose component does not make Hydra Rose a universal neutraliser: the existing lip colour and the objective of the correction determine whether it belongs in the plan.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Hydra Rose is a light rose-pink component for machine lip-PMU colour work, with blending and corrective lip neutralisation identified in the product information. It is considered when the professional colour plan requires a softer rose direction or a lightening contribution. A listed correction use does not mean that a cool rose pigment should be applied to every lip that needs neutralisation.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
The particular distinction is its magenta-red component, CI 73915, accompanying organic red and white titanium dioxide. Compare that structure with Pink Blush, which lists red and white without the same magenta-red component. For a client considering a rose lip-blush appearance, this is a more useful explanation than calling both products pale pink. The existing lip colour and any previous permanent makeup must still be assessed before the shade is selected.
Formula and professional palette role
The water-based Aqua vehicle is intended for machine-PMU use and is supplied in a 10ml bottle. Hydra Rose’s role is a defined rose-colour contribution within the permitted professional system. Position it alongside the dedicated lip colours as a specialist colour-planning option, with the precise use and any combination established by the current instructions rather than treating its light appearance as an automatic reason to use it.
Expected undertone: cool rose-pink.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77891 (titanium dioxide (white)), CI 56110 (organic red), CI 73915 (magenta-red).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, CI 77891, CI 56110, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 73915.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Coral Water Lily Pigment 10ml

Aqua Coral Water Lily is a lighter coral-pink pigment for machine lip pigmentation, permitted lip-colour blending and corrective neutralisation. It fits a colour brief that needs a softer coral direction rather than the more saturated orange-red appearance of Flaming Water.
The colour system combines white titanium dioxide with organic red and organic orange. The orange contributes warmth, while the white component softens the mixture’s appearance. It is useful to distinguish a light coral colour from a correction protocol: the shade’s place in neutralisation work still depends on the individual lip assessment and the manufacturer’s current directions.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Coral Water Lily is a lighter coral-pink pigment for machine lip PMU. Its documented applications include lip pigmentation, permitted colour blending and corrective neutralisation. It provides a clear comparison point in a lip-blush consultation when the desired colour is warmer and more coral-influenced than a rose-pink, but softer in direction than a saturated orange-red.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
Compare Coral Water Lily with Pink Blush to identify whether orange influence belongs in the client’s colour brief. Compare it with Flaming Water when considering a softer coral versus a stronger orange-red direction. These are colour-structure comparisons, not promises of identical healed intensity at different application densities. Where correction is necessary, its presence in the documented palette should lead to a specific colour assessment rather than automatic selection of coral as the answer.
Formula and professional palette role
The declaration lists white titanium dioxide, organic red and organic orange in a water-based carrier. That combination explains why both warmth and lightness matter to this shade’s role. Its 10ml bottle is a machine-PMU product, distinct from the PhiBrows eyebrow tubes. Position Coral Water Lily as Aqua’s softer warm coral-pink option for professional lip-colour work, with its correction applications handled within the appropriate training and current protocol.
Expected undertone: warm coral-pink.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77891 (titanium dioxide (white)), CI 56110 (organic red), CI 561170 (organic orange).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, CI 77891, Glycerin, CI 56110, Propylene Glycol, CI 561170.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Nude Watermelon Crush Pigment 10ml

Aqua Nude Watermelon Crush is a muted watermelon-red lip shade that brings a softer nude character to a red colour direction. It is relevant when a client wants more colour than a pale pink but a less saturated visual direction than Red Sea.
The declared formula includes white titanium dioxide, organic red, red iron oxide and organic yellow. This combination gives the artist more information than the word nude alone: white contributes softness, the red components establish the colour family, and yellow contributes warmth. The product is identified for lip pigmentation and permitted individual lip-colour blends.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Nude Watermelon Crush is a muted red lip pigment for machine PMU and permitted individual lip-colour blends. It belongs in a lip-blush consultation when the client wants a red influence with a softer nude character, rather than the stronger red direction associated with Red Sea. The word nude describes the intended colour family; it does not mean the same natural-looking result on every starting lip colour.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
The formula brings together organic red, red iron oxide, organic yellow and white titanium dioxide. Yellow adds a warm colour component, while white contributes softness to the declared blend. That makes this a distinct choice from Terracotta Nude, whose published list does not include the same yellow component, and Rose Nude Bay, which includes magenta-red. Comparing those structures helps explain why the three nudes have different positions in a consultation palette.
Formula and professional palette role
The desired level of visible colour should be discussed separately from shade temperature. A client may want a muted red family without wanting a highly saturated lipstick-style effect, and the artist’s machine technique determines how the design is built. In the 10ml Aqua format, Nude Watermelon Crush provides a specifically muted red option; it should be selected after reviewing the starting lips and any existing pigment.

PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Terracotta Nude Pigment 10ml

Aqua Terracotta Nude is a muted brick-red nude pigment for machine lip and areola pigmentation. It adds an earthy, warm red option to the selection, particularly when a colour brief calls for a restrained terracotta direction instead of a brighter pink or red.
Red iron oxide and organic red are combined with white titanium dioxide. The resulting colour direction is expected to be warm terracotta-red, with white softening the appearance. Compare it with the rose character of Rose Nude Bay and the yellow-containing colour system of Nude Watermelon Crush; these nude shades should be selected individually rather than grouped as one interchangeable natural colour.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Terracotta Nude is a warm, muted brick-red pigment documented for machine lip and areola pigmentation. For lip PMU, its earthy red direction is relevant when the colour brief moves away from a clear pink, coral or brighter red. A soft lip-blush design and a more defined lip-colour design still require separate decisions about the desired appearance; a nude shade name does not determine the finished density.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
Red iron oxide and organic red provide the declared red structure, with white titanium dioxide softening the mixture. Compare it with Rose Nude Bay when deciding between an earthy warm red and a rose-influenced nude. Compare it with Nude Watermelon Crush when assessing the relevance of the latter’s yellow component. These distinctions give the client and artist a clearer discussion than presenting all nude shades as one interchangeable natural colour.
Formula and professional palette role
The areola application is a separate specialist treatment with its own colour-matching and training requirements. The product’s 10ml water-based Aqua carrier is the format shared across these documented machine uses, but the intended anatomical area changes the assessment. Position Terracotta Nude as the warm terracotta reference within the Aqua selection, with the actual service and colour plan identified before use.
Expected undertone: warm terracotta-red.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 12475 (organic red), CI 77891 (titanium dioxide (white)).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, CI 77491, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 12475, CI 77891.
PhiAcademy PMU Aqua Rose Nude Bay Pigment 10ml

Aqua Rose Nude Bay is a muted rose-red nude option documented for machine lip and areola pigmentation. It brings a rose direction to the nude palette, giving a professional an alternative when Terracotta Nude would introduce a more earthy red character.
Red iron oxide contributes warmth, magenta-red CI 73915 introduces a cooler rose component, and white titanium dioxide softens the mixture. The expected direction is balanced rose with a cool magenta contribution rather than a purely cool colour. This combination is especially worth assessing against the client’s starting colour, because a nude label cannot describe how every skin or lip will influence the final appearance.
Machine PMU: treatment purpose and application
PhiAcademy Aqua Rose Nude Bay is a muted rose-red pigment for machine lip PMU and documented areola pigmentation. In a lip-blush consultation, it offers a rose-influenced alternative to the more earthy colour relationship of Terracotta Nude. Its role is to provide a defined nude-rose direction, with the intended amount of visible enhancement discussed separately from the colour family.
Colour selection and comparison with related shades
The combination of red iron oxide, magenta-red and white titanium dioxide means both warm and cooler colour contributions are present in the declared blend. This is why describing it as simply a cool pigment would lose useful detail. Compare the client’s starting lip colour and the desired rose direction, then assess whether this balanced mixture or another shade in the pink-and-nude selection better fits the brief. Existing permanent makeup can alter that choice.
Formula and professional palette role
Rose Nude Bay is supplied as a 10ml water-based Aqua product for machine work. Its listed areola use requires specialist training and a different colour assessment from conventional lip PMU, even though the formula is the same named product. Position it as the rose-nude reference in the Aqua palette, with the current directions and the actual treatment area determining the professional application.
Expected undertone: balanced rose with a cool magenta component.
Colourant composition: Hybrid colourant blend. Declared CI components: CI 77491 (red iron oxide), CI 77891 (titanium dioxide (white)), CI 73915 (magenta-red).
Full declared ingredients: Aqua, CI 77491, CI 77891, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, CI 73915.
Comparing the three PhiAcademy pigment ranges
After selecting the treatment area, compare the formula family and then the individual colour. The table summarises the practical differences without treating one range as a universal replacement for another.
| Range | Format in this collection | Documented application | Formula distinction | Palette role |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PhiBrows SUPE | 5ml tubes | Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU | Glycerin-rich carrier; no Shellac Cera in the declarations shown | Brown 1–3, Red and Black |
| PhiBrows SUPER | 5ml tubes and a 5 × 5ml set | Microblading and machine eyebrow PMU | Glycerin-rich carrier; Shellac Cera listed; manufacturer-described coating technology | Brown 1–3, Golden Brown, Fox, Red, Yellow and Black |
| PhiAcademy Aqua | 10ml bottles | Machine PMU; treatment areas depend on the shade | Water-based carrier with Glycerin and Propylene Glycol | Browns, black, reds, pinks, coral and nude colours |
Shared shade names do not establish identical formulas. Brown 2 in SUPE and SUPER has a comparable colour role, but the complete ingredient declarations differ. Golden Brown in SUPER and Golden Tides in Aqua both address lighter colouring, yet their colourant systems and carriers are different.
How to choose a PhiAcademy pigment for the client
Start with the procedure and permitted treatment area
For microblading or machine eyebrow PMU, compare the documented PhiBrows brow shades. For machine lip work, use the dedicated Aqua lip selection. For eyeliner, scalp or areola pigmentation, confirm that the particular Aqua shade lists that use and that the procedure sits within your professional training. Neither a red colour nor a black colour establishes the treatment area by itself.
Choose the depth before fine-tuning the colour direction
Brown 1, Brown 2 and Brown 3 provide a useful lighter-to-deeper sequence for PhiBrows, while Golden Tides, Riverstone Brown and Deep Wave Brown provide different depth options in Aqua. Natural hair colour is the manufacturer’s starting reference for these brow selections, but the consultation also needs to consider skin, natural brow hair and previous permanent makeup.
Very light natural hair may lead the artist towards SUPER Golden Brown; naturally red-pigmented hair may call for considering SUPER Fox or Aqua Burgundy Waterfall within the appropriate system. These are starting points for comparison, not automatic prescriptions based on hair colour alone.
Separate a lip colour brief from a correction plan
A client seeking a richer red can be shown Red Sea’s colour direction, while Pink Blush, Hydra Rose and Coral Water Lily represent different softer pink or coral options. Terracotta Nude, Rose Nude Bay and Nude Watermelon Crush each have a distinct muted colour structure. Discuss the desired healed appearance in relation to the starting lip colour rather than matching a photograph of a pigment swatch.
When correction is needed, assess what is already present before selecting a pigment. A warm orange-red contribution and a cool rose contribution have different roles; the fact that both appear in a professional correction palette does not make them interchangeable.
Read the whole declaration and the current directions
The CI list explains the colour components, while the full ingredients identify the carrier and supporting formula ingredients. The manufacturer’s general colour guide discusses primary-colour blending, but some product directions restrict mixing with other products. Follow the current label for the supplied formula. Do not assume that SUPE, SUPER and Aqua can be mixed freely, or that an unapproved diluent makes one system interchangeable with another.
Professional preparation, storage and aftercare
These pigments are intended for trained professional use. Record the shade, batch and relevant expiry information, keep dispensing hygienic and use the product within its current labelling. The Aqua product information instructs the user to shake before use, while the SUPE and SUPER listings state not to shake. Preparation is therefore formula-specific.
Keep products closed and stored according to the current instructions, including the stated period after opening and the printed expiry. Do not replace the manufacturer’s directions with a general rule that all PMU pigments have the same shelf life. The manufacturer notes that pigments may contain nickel and chromium and may cause allergic reactions; professional consultation and any testing should follow the applicable product instructions.
Explain expected healing and aftercare using the protocol for the actual treatment. The colour seen immediately after implantation is not the final healed assessment. Review the outcome after the appropriate healing period and plan any follow-up individually, without promising an exact retention percentage or a fixed number of sessions.
Frequently asked questions about PhiAcademy pigments
Are PhiBrows SUPE and SUPER only for microblading?
No. The products covered in this collection are listed for professional microblading and machine permanent makeup of the eyebrows. Their microblading positioning does not exclude the documented machine brow use. Follow the current directions for the specific formula and do not extend eyebrow use automatically to lips or eyeliner.
How do powder brows and ombré brows relate to SUPE and SUPER pigments?
SUPE and SUPER are professional eyebrow pigment ranges for manual microblading and machine eyebrow PMU. Powder brows and ombré brows describe machine shading designs: powder refers to the shaded appearance, while ombré describes a gradient in colour distribution. The artist selects a suitable shade for the client and follows the current formula instructions and trained machine protocol. The chosen brown or copper colour does not itself create the finish, and a general machine-PMU application does not establish compatibility with every possible dilution or cartridge.
What is the difference between SUPE and SUPER?
They are separate PhiBrows formula ranges with overlapping shade names. In the declarations shown here, SUPER includes Shellac Cera, while SUPE does not. The manufacturer also describes coating technology as a feature of SUPER. Compare the entire formula, current directions and colour role rather than assuming that an extra letter means every shade has a different undertone or guarantees better retention.
Are all PhiAcademy pigments hybrid?
No single composition description fits every shade. Red Sea and Flaming Water list organic colourants, while many other shades combine organic colourants with titanium dioxide or iron oxide. Certain dark Aqua shades list red iron oxide with carbon black. Golden Brown lists organic yellow and orange colourants with carbon black. The individual CI declaration gives a more precise description than applying one label to the whole collection.
Does an ingredient list tell me the exact healed undertone?
No. The CI numbers identify colourants but do not reveal their exact proportions or predict their appearance in every client’s skin. The expected undertones in this guide are useful comparison points, not guaranteed healed colours. Skin, the starting colour, existing pigment and application all contribute to the final appearance.
Which brow shades should I compare for blonde and brunette clients?
For very light natural hair, consider the role of SUPER Golden Brown; for naturally blonde or light-brown hair, compare Brown 1. Brown 2 addresses natural brunette colouring, and Brown 3 is positioned for dark-brown to almost-black natural hair. Aqua offers Golden Tides, Riverstone Brown and Deep Wave Brown for different machine brow colour plans. Complete the choice with a skin and existing-pigment assessment.
How do Fox and Burgundy Waterfall differ from a basic Red component?
SUPER Fox and Aqua Burgundy Waterfall are prepared colour directions associated with naturally red-pigmented hair in their respective systems. PhiBrows Red is a basic palette component for professional colour adjustment where permitted. A red-haired client does not automatically need a standalone Red component, and Burgundy Waterfall should not be treated as a lip colour merely because of its name.
Are Pink Blush, Hydra Rose and Coral Water Lily interchangeable?
No. Pink Blush combines red and white colourants; Hydra Rose adds a magenta-red component to its red-and-white system; Coral Water Lily includes orange alongside red and white. These differences support different pink, cooler rose and warm coral directions. Their documented uses and the client’s starting lip colour should guide the choice.
Can I mix SUPE, SUPER and Aqua together?
Do not assume cross-range compatibility. Use only combinations and any diluents allowed by the current product instructions. A manufacturer’s general explanation of colour mixing does not cancel a mixing restriction on the supplied tube or bottle. This guide describes palette roles without prescribing unverified mixtures or ratios.
What is included in the SUPER 5 × 5ml collection?
The set contains Brown 1, Brown 2, Brown 3, Golden Brown and Fox, each in its own 5ml tube. It provides 25ml in total and covers five prepared brow colour directions. Red, Yellow and Black are separate individual products rather than part of this set, and each included shade retains its own ingredient declaration.
Where can professionals buy PhiAcademy pigments?

Build a palette around the treatments you perform
A useful PhiAcademy palette gives each colour a defined purpose. SUPE and SUPER provide brow choices for both microblading and machine eyebrow PMU; Aqua adds a water-based machine selection with individual brow, lip and other documented specialist applications. Prepared browns, basic palette colours, saturated reds and softened nudes each contribute something different to that choice.
Use BVShop’s individual product information to compare the treatment area, expected colour direction and complete ingredient declaration together. Matching those details to your training and the client’s assessment creates a clearer basis for pigment selection than choosing by a shade name or a single organic-versus-hybrid label.
